The old-fashioned flavor of Sassafras is a favorite in hard candies. This flavor (similar to root beer) was very popular in teas, beverages, and candies in early American history.
Appropriate for use in coating chocolate, but may cause some thickening. Add liquified coconut oil, or cocoa butter to thin/smooth (typical use is ¼ to ½ teaspoon per pound). Not recommended for use in pure chocolates.
